Trail running is my passion. After long runs, I had been suffering from pain in my right knee for years and had been running from one expert to another. Several MRI scans showed a tear in the medial meniscus. I was unanimously told that it would not get better without surgery.
On the advice of a friend, I then turned to Prof. Stehling. He looked at my MRI images and asked me in detail about my complaints. He noticed that my MRI images had been taken without contrast medium. He was also the first person to notice that my knee didn’t get thick at all when I put weight on it. Special MRI scans were then taken in his X-ray institute which showed that the meniscus tear could not be the cause of the pain. The problem was in the tendon of the kneecap, which was inflamed – this could be seen clearly by the contrast medium. Prof. Stehling treated me with local injections and recommended extensive stretching. The pain is completely gone today. Without surgery. I have often recommended the professor to others.
